Kitchener & Waterloo: Two Years of Growth

When we first brought Geedup to Kitchener and Waterloo, we weren't sure the energy from our Guelph nights would travel twenty minutes down the highway. It did — and then some. The K-W student and young professional crowd showed up with an intensity that caught even us off guard. Elements Nightclub and Maxwell's Concerts & Events became regular homes for us, and the region has since produced some of our highest-attendance nights outside Toronto. There's something about a university town that keeps a dance floor honest — if the set isn't good, people leave, and if it is, they stay until the lights come up. Two years in, K-W isn't a secondary market for us anymore. It's a proving ground, same as Guelph was before it — and we're planning our biggest K-W lineup yet for later this year.
